His Story

John was born and raised in the Bronx, NY. He grew up with his three youngers brothers, who are all a part of the groommen party. While he hopes to one day get back to his NYC roots, John has lived in Phoenix for the past 5 years, exchanging the city life for the desert. Prior to living in Phoenix, John attended Syracuse University and spent time living in Tampa and San Antonio. 

 

John currently works USAA as a Senior Financial Advisor, where he met best man, Shaun. In his free time, John enjoys Crossfit, watching movies, reading comics, collecting vinyl records and expanding his huge music library. You can always find John wearing the newest and rarest sneakers, as a "sneakerhead" who is often recognized just by his kicks.

 

John never thought much about having a big wedding in the past but is enjoying planning a few select aspects of his own "big, white wedding" now including; photography, music and his most vital request... a photobooth. While John is new to the wedding planning world he knows Nikki will always keep him up to date on all the details.

 

Her Story

Nikki is originally from Chicago, Illinois where she grew up with many close friends and family nearby. She attended American University in Washington, DC, graduating in 2010 with a triple B.A. in Political Science, Gender Studies and American Sociology. Nikki is a proud member of Phi Mu Fraternity for Woman and plans to incorporate many of Phi Mu’s sorority traditions into the wedding to honor her sisters. She spent a year living in Australia and traveling in Southeast Asia during her time in college as well. After college, she pursued her career in non-profit associations and eventually ended up by chance in Phoenix. She recently started a new job in senior management at a professional association. After nearly three years, she’s proud to call herself a Phoenician.

 

In her free time, Nikki enjoys writing for her blog, traveling, collecting over 200 pairs of shoes, Crossfit and running races (She’s training for a half Marathon currently). She believes everything is better when John is involved because he is so much fun! While some have confused her big personality and excitement for marriage with being a Bridezilla, it has paid off, as she is currently in the running to be cast on “Say Yes to the Dress” and “Fairy Gown Parents”.
